Review Business Center User Agreement

 

Business Center Use Policy

Thousand Oaks Library Business Center (“Business Center”) can be scheduled in advance or on a first come, first serve basis. The Business Center may be used during the library’s operational hours, up to 30 minutes before closing. Inquiries may be made by phone, via ASK A LIBRARIAN, or in person at a Reference Desk. A signed User Agreement (below) must be received by the Library before a meeting may begin. The User Agreement can be signed online or in person. Thousand Oaks Library offers two smoke-free facilities at the Grant R. Brimhall Library and the Newbury Park Branch Library.

User Agreement

I, the undersigned, in consideration for using the Business Center, agree to the following:

  1. I shall not consume/serve alcoholic beverages.
  2. I shall be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred while using the room.
  3. I agree that the Library assumes no responsibility or liability resulting from my usage of the facility, and agree to the Limitation of Liability and Indemnification Agreement below.
  4. I shall not solicit donations or charge fees or admission to programs held using the Business Center Conference Room.
  5. I understand and agree that the library does not sponsor or endorse the content of any meeting or of any use of the room.
  6. I shall use the Business Center only during the scheduled time, and agree to leave the Business Center at the conclusion of my reservation.

Business Center Limitation of Liability and Indemnification Agreement

I have received, read, and understand the Thousand Oaks Library Business Center Use Policy and the Library’s Internet Use Policy, and I agree to comply with these policies and all other California and Federal laws.

I hereby fully release and discharge the Thousand Oaks Library, the City of Thousand Oaks, its officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages, or loss, which may arise, or which may be alleged to have arisen out of, or in connection with the use of the Business Center pursuant to this agreement.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend the Thousand Oaks Library, the City of Thousand Oaks, its officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims resulting from injuries, including death, damages, and losses, including, but not limited to the general public, which may arise or may be alleged to have arisen out of, or in connection with the use of the Business Center pursuant to this agreement.
