What is Self-Service Access?
If you’re in a pinch and need to print something but your printer is acting up, don’t worry! You can easily send your print job to either Library. Planning to pick up a hold or return materials before your vacation? The Grant R. Brimhall Library Lockers are here to help with that! Need to grab a quiet corner to focus on your studies or have an early meeting? With the Self-Service Access program, approved visitors can come into the Newbury Park Library lobby before it officially opens. We’ve got you covered!

Self-Service Access Hours will not be available on scheduled holiday closures. Please check the Library Calendars; or follow us on Facebook or Instagram for holiday or special event closures.
Self-Service Access Requirements
- Hold a valid Thousand Oaks Library card.
- Library-related charges must be under $20.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
How do I register for Self-Service Access?
STEP 1: Review the service offerings and requirements.
STEP 2: Complete Self-Service Access Online Orientation in Niche Academy. Note the online orientation code at the end of this online learning module.
STEP 3: Bring your library card, photo ID, and the online orientation code to the Circulation Desk.
STEP 4: Sign the user agreement to activate the Self-Service Access on your account. A copy of the agreement will be provided to you in print and via email.
STEP 5: Receive a welcome letter from the library.
