Review Self-Service Access User Agreement


The Self-Service Hours offer customers access to the lobby of the Grant R. Brimhall Library before staffed operating hours. Access to meeting rooms is subject to the Library’s Meeting Room availability and policy.  This agreement signifies that a user understands and agrees to the below-mentioned terms and conditions. 

Self-Service Access at the Grant R. Brimhall Library is available for Thousand Oaks Library members who meet the following requirements: 

  • Holds a valid Thousand Oaks Library card
  • Library-related charges must be under $20.00
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete an online orientation.
  • Register for Self-Service Access by completing the User Agreement and showing your library card and photo ID at the Circulation Desk during open library hours.

Self-Service Access User Agreement. Please read carefully:

  • I agree to comply with all Thousand Oaks Library policies.
  • I agree to comply with any directions over the announcement or by staff.
  • I accept responsibility for the library’s space, equipment, and furniture.
  • I am aware that library staff may not be present.
  • I understand that I shall not allow other person(s) to enter the library building besides immediate family.
  • I understand that I can summon 911 assistance in an emergency.
  • I understand that the Self-Service Access is subject to change without notice.
  • I understand that I shall not access restricted staff areas.
  • I understand that Self-Service Access may be revoked if I am no longer eligible for Self-Service Access or for violating library policies.
