Free Landfill & Recycling Day

Thousand Oaks residents are encouraged to dispose of excess trash, green waste and bulky items at Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Day. This free event will take place at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to the popularity of this event, wait times of up to 90 minutes may occur. Residents should be prepared to unload their own materials. The event is free of charge to Thousand Oaks residents with proof of residency required. No commercial vehicles, or waste materials from landscaping companies, will be accepted. Hazardous and electronic materials are not accepted. A list of acceptable and non-acceptable items can be found at www.toaks.org/GoGreen.

Residents are encouraged to donate usable items to local thrift stores and donate good building materials to ReStore in Simi Valley. A list of thrift stores and items they accept can be found at www.toaks.org/GoGreen.
