Sustainability Series: DIY Home Energy Savings Presentation

Thousand Oaks, California 91362 - Introduction: Do you know how much energy goes into home use? Whether the energy is being used efficiently and effectively for your use or going to waste? Want to learn how saving energy can affect you, your home, and our climate?
3C-REN (The Tri-County Regional Energy Network) and VCREA (Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance) have partnered with the Thousand Oaks Library to bring you the Home Energy Savings DIY Toolkit! This presentation which will cover the tools, equipment and a guide to help you save energy and increase the comfort of your home, with simple do-it-yourself projects.
The kit has FREE items for you to install in your home, as well as tools to conduct your own home-assessment and later return after use. Additionally, the presentation will cover another DIY service that will soon be launching, which allows library patrons to borrow a portable induction cooktop so you can try clean, all-electric cooking yourself.
