American Heart Month program.  Allen Callaci’s debut novel, Heart Like a Starfish, is the frenetic account of his death-defying heart transplant and the healing that follows for both himself and those around him. Callaci is the lead singer for the band, Refrigerator, an adjunct professor, and a librarian whose work has appeared in MungBeing, BK Nation, the Poly Post, The Huffington Post, Cinefantastique, Crump Comics and various magazines. He lives in Southern California. Copies of the book will be for sale and the author will sign them following his talk.
