Housing and Community Needs Meeting

Together with the County of Ventura, the City of Thousand Oaks is developing it’s 2020–2024 Regional Consolidated Plan for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs.  Ventura County, California, which includes the cities of Camarillo, Oxnard, Simi Valley, Ventura City, and Thousand Oaks, receives funds each year from the federal government to invest in low- and moderate-income (LMI) communities.

The Regional Consolidated Plan is created every five years and assists the cities in determining community needs. The planning process helps identify housing, economic, and community development priorities. Ventura County is also required to conduct an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, which highlights fair housing needs within the community. We need resident feedback on setting funding priorities for affordable housing, public improvements, and community services.
