You bring the food, we’ll waive the fines!
One canned item = $1.00 in fines

Bring your food donation to any Circulation Desk of the Thousand Oaks Library or the Newbury Park Library. Fines will be waived for donations of the following:

  • canned fruits
  • canned soups
  • canned vegetables
  • canned stews
  • canned meat, fish, or poultry
  • peanut butter (plastic jar only)
  • baked beans, refried beans or kidney beans
  • tomatoes, tomato sauce, or spaghetti sauce

Food accepted for overdue fines only, not for lost items, damaged items, billed items, or for any rental fees. No rain checks given for future fines.

We can only accept canned items for this food drive. Items that are packaged in boxes, bags, or in glass jars are unable to be accepted due to transportation constraints.

Canned food that is damaged, rusty, or expired will not be accepted. 

All food donations received will be given to Manna for distribution to Conejo Valley families. For more information, please contact the Circulation Department at (805) 449-2660, option 6 during business hours.
