New infrastructure improvements are coming to Westlake Blvd. in April.
A community meeting will take place on Thursday, April 12, from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the Northshore Property Owner’s Association Clubhouse: 2536 Northshore Lane, to provide the public additional information about the upcoming construction in Westlake.
The Westlake Boulevard Sidewalk Improvement Project includes the completion of sidewalks, new pathways for pedestrians, and curb ramps. The new infrastructure will be constructed along the east side of Westlake Blvd., between Triunfo Canyon Rd and Agoura/Hampshire Rd, as well as on the west side of Westlake Blvd. between Agoura Rd., Hampshire Rd., and the 101 Freeway.
In addition, as part of an overlay project on Westlake Blvd and SR-23 South, Caltrans plans to improve bike lanes and crosswalk striping in late 2018, following completion of the City’s sidewalk project.
The City’s project, supported by $600,000 in federal grant funding, has long been a priority. The addition of sidewalks, curb ramps and the modification of bike lanes will greatly improve safety for all users.
During construction activity, lane closures and limited parking and access will occur.
