Beloved, Yet Banned: Censorship in Children's Literature

From Peter Rabbit to And Tango Makes Three, there’s more to Children’s Literature than meets the eye. Did you know that some picture books have been banned, smuggled out of France on a bicycle, and even inspired movies?
The elements in these classics, have kept children entertained over the generations. Over 100 years of the best
picture books will be highlighted as we revisit these treasures and some of the best new books.
Jody Shapiro obtained a Master of Library Science at Peabody College in Tennessee and became a children’s librarian.
