Where are the Thousand Oaks in Thousand Oaks, CA?
Do you know where this oak tree is? I call it Sour Puss Oak. Hint, it is in a Botanical Garden...
This is a question that Jennifer Bentson, Artist, is asking the community of Thousand Oaks. As an artist to the Oak Trees of California, Jennifer Bentson wants to depict the significant oaks of Thousand Oaks. A quest? Yes, and you can help. You can be the sleuth to the oaks and maybe raise awareness of the most beautiful, oldest, largest, most interesting, or historical oak in Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. Just photograph your oak and note the location, then email this to bentson9@gmail.com.
Jennifer Bentson, will paint several of the oak trees in Thousand Oaks for an art exhibit at the Thousand Oaks Community Art Gallery, 2331 Borchard Rd # A, Newbury Park, CA 91320. The show will open August 4 and run through August 12, 2017. The gallery hours are 11am to 5pm, Monday through Saturdays.
There will be a grand opening of the art show on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 3PM to 6PM with refreshments. This will be a celebration of the oaks of Thousand Oaks, and we will learn WHERE ARE THE THOUSAND OAKS.
