The Thousand Oaks Library presents its 2024 Summer Reading Club Story-Slam. Writers of all ages are invited to submit a short story, either fiction or non-fiction, that is 1200 words or less and can be read in 6 minutes. Based on this year's Summer Reading Club theme of “Adventure Begins at Your Library” the theme for the story slam will be the start of an adventure or journey. 

• All stories must be submitted by Friday, July 12th at either at the front desk of the Thousand Oaks Library or submitted via email at info@tolibrary.org.
• The top 8 stories will be selected to be read at a special after-hours event on Friday July 26th at 6:30pm where a winner for the Story-Slam will be selected and receive a gift card prize.
• The selected readers will be notified on Friday July 19th.
