For teens ages 13-18 

Join the Ventura County Youth Poet Laureate in a poetry writing workshop. 

The goal of these workshops is to curate poems celebrating the county - whether it's someone's experiences growing up here, what they love about the county, etc. In addition, the county is seeking youth from these workshops to share their poems. In collaboration with the current Poet Laureate, Luzmaria Espinosa, and the county Arts and Culture Manager, David Yoshitomi, they are also looking into possibly publishing these poems in an anthology. Participation in the county celebrations is not a requirement, nor is publication. Registration is required.
