Farm Day gives the public an opportunity to say thanks to our farmers and agricultural workforce who make sure we have food on our table. Farm Day is a free self-guided tour from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in which over 20 participating Ventura County farms open their doors, enabling the public to learn about agriculture firsthand. Each farm will feature a number of family friendly activities including free produce, agricultural book signings and food and beverage samplings. Following the farm tours is a barbeque at the Ventura County Fairgrounds (San Miguel Building) in Ventura. The barbeque is from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and features live country music, farm fresh food, local beer and wine and kids activities.
Barbeque tickets are $40 for adults and $15 for kids under 12. For more information on Ventura County Farm Day including a list of participating farms and their locations and barbeque ticket information, go to www.venturacountyfarmday.com
