Discussion of Regional Water Supply Alternatives Study
Calleguas Municipal Water District (Calleguas) is holding a public meeting to seek input from interested parties on development of local water supplies that can be used if imported supplies are cut off for an extended period in an emergency, such as a seismic event. The meeting will include a brief presentation on existing water supplies, seismic risk, and the constraints on supplying water during an emergency. Attendees will brainstorm about what supplies, conservation measures, or other actions could be taken to meet local needs during an extended outage of imported supplies. All suggestions and ideas will be evaluated in a Water Supply Alternatives Study that will be performed by Calleguas over the next year.
