Author Visit: Michael H. Gorn

“Spacecraft: 100 Iconic Rockets, Shuttles, and Satellites That Put Us in Space.”

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing, the Grant R. Brimhall Library is excited to announce that “Space” is the theme of Thousand Oaks Reads: One City One Book. To commence the launch of the program, the Library welcomes Michael H. Gorn to speak about his new book, “Spacecraft: 100 Iconic Rockets, Shuttles, and Satellites That Put Us in Space.”

A federal historian of nearly 30 years, Michael H. Gorn spent 13 years at NASA. The Ventura County resident is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships for his aerospace writing, and has been featured in interviews on BBC, History, and the Discovery Channel.

 The official title for Thousand Oaks Reads: One City One Book will be announced soon.
