Ventura County Assessor Dan Goodwin, Board of Equalization Member Jerome Horton, and Faith and Community Empowerment (FACE) will host the Nonprofit Empowerment and Exemption Symposium on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. Nonprofit, Faith Based Organizations and Tax Practitioners are encouraged to attend.

The symposium features Ventura County Assessor Dan Goodwin, Board of Equalization Member Horton, City of Oxnard Mayor Tim Flynn, Hyepin Im, Faith and Community Empowerment and Tieko Nejon Wilson, Tieko Nejon Wilson, LLC. Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS). It will feature presentations and panel discussions on a broad range of topics including Affordable Housing, Funding Opportunities, Successful Capacity Building Tips for Non-profit Organizations and Tax Essentials for Faith Based and Non-profit Organizations.
