How to use My Book Cart

Adding Items to My Book Cart and Saving to My Lists

You can save items to lists for future reference. Lists can be modified and exported.

My Book Cart is used to add items to a saved list. Start by searching for items in the catalog. Use the Add to Book Cart icon (basket) by items in your search results, or on individual item record pages. You can view items in your cart at any time by choosing the My Book Cart link at the top or bottom of the catalog page.

After you have at least one item in your cart, you can add to a list. View the items in your cart, then use the checkboxes to select items. You can select individual items using the checkboxes next to them, or all items/none by using the link at the top of the list.

Choose an existing list to save the item to from the dropdown menu, and select Add. Or, choose Save to new list. Give your list a name and description, then select Create. You can view and edit your lists from My Account.

Request all the items in your cart at once. You can choose your pick-up location as well as set a date you need the items by.

Save to a list

Once the items have been selected, choose Save to list. Log in with your library card number and PIN if prompted. Save to a list in My Account that can be accessed later. You can either add items to an existing list, or to create a new list. You can name the new list and give it a description. It is then stored in My Account.

On the left side of the menu in My Account, click on the My Lists button. Then, click on the list under the LIST NAME.

Delete items from lists

Use the checkboxes next to items to select items. Use the Delete Marked button. You may also use the Delete All button to remove all items from the list.

Export lists

Use the Export List link to send the items on your list to an email address. You can choose the format of the items listed to include all details, brief details, or the Machine-Readable Cataloging (MARC) record of items. If you select Screen as an export option, it will open a webpage with your selected items. You can save this as an HTML file.

Move items to other lists

Use the checkboxes to select items to move to another list. Then choose Move marked link. Select a list from the dropdown menu or choose to create a new list. Choose Submit to move the item(s).

Change the name/description of lists

Choose the Change name link to change the name or description of the list. Enter your changes, then choose Submit.

Delete Lists

On the My Lists summary screen, you can delete all saved lists or individual lists. Use the checkboxes and Delete Marked to delete individual lists. You can also Delete All lists.
