For Reader:

BiblioBoard Core provides access to over 14,000 eBooks  eMagazines and other multi-media content, curated in over 400 anthologies across all genres of history and classic literature.

In addition to this collection, Library customers will have access to Indie California, a collection of works by independently published authors in the state.

For Author:

PressBooks is a free, easy-to-use book production software where you can now create, edit, format and generate print-ready and eBook formats for your book—no matter how far along it may be.  It's simple to get started and will give you a leg-up on completing your book.

SELF-e: Local Authors - This service is free for all authors, no matter how you have chosen to indie publish. The submission process takes about 5 minutes, and you are welcome to submit as many of your eBooks as you would like. Follow the link to learn more and read the terms of agreement.

To use BiblioBoard at the Thousand Oaks Library:

  1. Visit BiblioBoard on any device with a web browser and Internet access, including library computers and laptops or personal phones, tablets, or computers.
  2. Create an optional profile to save favorites, create bookmarks, add notes, download content, and sync preferences.

To access BiblioBoard outside of the Library, you will need:

  1. A Thousand Oaks Library card
  2. Internet access
  3. For mobile devices, download the BiblioBoard app for iOS 8+, Android 4+ and Kindle Fire HD
  4. Choose "Thousand Oaks Library" from the Library Credentials drop down, then enter your library card number and pin.
  5. Create an optional profile to save favorites, create bookmarks, add notes, download content, and sync preferences.

Read eBooks eMagazines through a web browser, on tablets or smartphones.  Fable learning is a collection of fiction and non-fiction ebooks for children of all ages. To access via a browser, enter the 14-digital library card number.  The Fable Reader app is available from Google Play Store and Amazon App Store.  For iOS devices, search for Fable Reader in the iTunes App Store.  Use Username: onekoaks and Password: onekoaks to log in with your mobile device.


 

The downloadable eAudiobooks aAudioBook are PC and iPod/MAC compatible. Users can listen to these titles on a computer or transfer them to a portable listening device.


 

Download eBooks eBooks, eAudiobooks eAudios, or eVideos eVideo to play them on a PC, MAC, or portable device including Apple iOS, Android and Windows 8 smartphones and tablets.


 

Read eNewspapers eMagazines through a web browser, on tablets or smartphones. Instant access to 4,000 plus newspapers from 100 countries in 60 languages. Once a title is downloaded it can be viewed anywhere, anytime. To access outside the library, log in using your library card number.
