BiblioBoard Core provides access to over 14,000 eBooks  eMagazines and other multi-media content, curated in over 400 anthologies across all genres of history and classic literature.

In addition to this collection, Library customers will have access to Indie California, a collection of works by independently published authors in the state.

SELF-e: Local Authors - This service is free for all authors, no matter how you have chosen to indie publish. The submission process takes about 5 minutes, and you are welcome to submit as many of your eBooks as you would like. Follow the link to learn more and read the terms of agreement.

To use BiblioBoard at the Thousand Oaks Library:

  1. Visit BiblioBoard on any device with a web browser and Internet access, including library computers and laptops or personal phones, tablets, or computers.
  2. Create an optional profile to save favorites, create bookmarks, add notes, download content, and sync preferences.

To access BiblioBoard outside of the Library, you will need:

  1. A Thousand Oaks Library card
  2. Internet access
  3. For mobile devices, download the BiblioBoard app for iOS 8+, Android 4+ and Kindle Fire HD
  4. Choose "Thousand Oaks Library" from the Library Credentials drop down, then enter your library card number and pin.
  5. Create an optional profile to save favorites, create bookmarks, add notes, download content, and sync preferences.

A NEW streaming video service eVideo offering more than 26,000 films. It includes award-winning documentary and feature films, with titles from PBS, BBC, Criterion Collection, Media Education Foundation, and more. You can access popular films and documentaries from any device, including Roku, iOS, and Android apps.

To get started:

    1. Go to Kanopy
    2. Create an account by clicking on the orange Sign up button.
    3. Go to your email account to verify your email address.
    4. Enter Thousand Oaks library card number and PIN.
    5. Start watching videos!


 

Download eBooks eBooks, eAudiobooks eAudios, or eVideos eVideo to play them on a PC, MAC, or portable device including Apple iOS, Android and Windows 8 smartphones and tablets.


 

Read eNewspapers eMagazines through a web browser, on tablets or smartphones. Instant access to 6,000 plus newspapers from 120 countries in 60 languages. Once a title is downloaded it can be viewed anywhere, anytime. To access outside the library, log in using your library card number and PIN. Create an account with an email address and password. (This registration will associate your email address with the library subscription, permitting continuous PressReader access.)

An online collection of animated, talking picture books eMagazines.  To access outside the library, log in using your library card number.  If you are having trouble entering the site or viewing any of the books or quizzes, make sure you have downloaded the Flash 6 plug-in.

The downloadable eAudiobooks aAudioBook are PC and iPod/MAC compatible. Users can listen to these titles on a computer or transfer them to a portable listening device.

  • Patrons must complete a one-time account setup using their library cards
  • Select the “Register” link in the upper right-hand side of the library's RBdigital website (formerly OneClickDigital) before installing the RBdigital apps
  • Checkout period: 14 days, early return is possible
  • Renewal period: 1 time for an additional 7 days
  • Checkout Limit: 10 titles
  • Maximum number of holds: 3 holds
